Hamilton College seeks two Product Managers to join our team for an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in leading the college through an effort to replace Hamilton’s Human Resources, Payroll and Finance systems through the implementation of Workday. Phase 1 of the project will formally begin in April of 2023 with the implementation of Workday’s Human Resources, Payroll and Finance solutions and is scheduled to conclude in the summer of 2024.
Hamilton College's Library and Information Technology Services division is committed to creating an accessible, supportive environment and an educational experience that recognizes diversity and cultural competence as integral components of academic excellence. Candidates who can contribute to that goal are encouraged to apply and to identify their strengths in this area.
These are full-time, term positions that will conclude at the end of the first phase of the project. The positions are eligible to work remotely, but will be expected to perform duties during Hamilton’s scheduled business hours of Mon-Fri 8:30-4:30 EST, and may require travel back to campus.
The Product Managers report to the Director of Project and Change Management, but work closely with functional departments, and in close partnership with Workday and Collaborative Solutions (Implementation Partner), to ensure that Workday implementation meets the functional needs of the College. The Product Managers must be both champions of Workday and advocates for the needs of functional and technical users. These positions will require technical expertise, along with the ability to build consensus while navigating compromise. The product managers will collaborate with functional department leads, as well as the IT project team, to develop training materials for end users.
One of the Product Managers will support Human Resources and Payroll, and the other position will support Finance. These are term positions, which will be focusing on Phase 1 of Hamilton’s implementation of Workday, which is scheduled to be completed by the end of July 2024. There may be an opportunity to extend the term to also support future phases of Workday implementation. The minimum starting salary is $70,000.
