Product Manager - Emerging Payments - Tokenization Bank Checkout

As part of the Emerging Payments organization within Capital One, you'll work on the next generation of payment credential tokenization, delivering future state capabilities to make digital commerce secure and convenient for our customers. You’ll maintain our partner relationships with payments networks, and support payment integrations with several 3rd party Digital Wallets. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining the foundation for best-in-class customer experiences on our Web and Mobile platforms. To fit in, you should be excited about delivering powerful capabilities that help front end teams to deliver outstanding customer experiences. You’ll also need to be equally comfortable talking to engineers on our tech teams, partnering with front end teams and business analysts.

In this role, you’ll be expected to demonstrate proficiency in four key areas

• Human Centered

  • You’ll define clear and actionable problem statements to help teams deliver results while displaying a comprehensive understanding of iterative software delivery, capable of thin-slice MVP grooming

  • You’ll leverage customer insights to influence priorities and roadmap feature development while advocating for and driving alignment between stakeholders in the development of acceptance criteria

  • You’ll utilize balanced judgment in decisions about risks of both actions taken and not taken while innovating on ways to iterate faster in a well-managed way for the immediate team

• Technology Driven

  • You’ll understand and leverage technology and end-state architecture vision to partner with technology team to drive comprehensive design decisions out of white space technical problems

  • You’ll share business strategy and roadmap with Tech partners to establish context while also leading and facilitating agile ceremonies alongside Tech Lead

  • You’ll deliver value by creating reusable, extensible and resilient capabilities and proactively identify opportunities when key metrics on security, resilience and performance are not performing

  • You’ll develop and communicate a 6-month vision to senior stakeholders and partner teams with accurate details and transparency on risks and impediments, and proactively build relationships with those outside of your immediate team resulting in horizontal influence

  • You’ll Contribute to team culture and recruiting by leading activities to attract and retain top talent and mentoring and developing junior product associates

As part of the Emerging Payments Bank Checkout team in the Product Tokenization role, you’ll lead and have access to:

• A highly dynamic and multi-disciplinary team in order to develop and enhance digital payment products on a day to day basis. You will translate business and product strategies into platform capabilities that position Capital One for substantial growth and disruption in eCommerce.

• High-profile product work, bridging both the strategy and delivery space centered around bank checkout network tokenization. You will work to ideate, implement and integrate this new, complex solution into our internal networks, as well as our Vendor partners' networks (Visa + Mastercard).

• Collaborating with and conducting regular check-ins with external parties + internal partners. You will represent Capital One in existing and new partner relationships in delivering product intent and seeking out potential new opportunities.

• Setting goals and driving product performance, lifecycle stages, and identifying and enacting enhancements that drive change in key performance indicators.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

• At least 3 years of product management experience or at least 3 years of experience in product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering

• MBA or Master’s degree

• 2+ years of experience in Agile product management
