THE CHALLENGE
As Eventbrite continues to grow and expand its reach globally, the challenge of respecting our users' privacy rights, ensuring the proper handling of Personally Identifiable Information (PII), providing intuitive end user experiences for consent, and evolving privacy governance practices becomes increasingly important. Our platform is used by millions of people worldwide to discover and attend events, and with this growth comes the responsibility to ensure that we have a world-class privacy program. We take this responsibility seriously and are committed to providing transparency to our users, compliance with all applicable regulations across every geography, and ease of integration and management of privacy-related controls into our products. This is where you come in.

We work collaboratively to develop and implement capabilities that engender end user trust in how we handle their data while providing ease of compliance to our internal teams. Our goal is to provide a safe and secure environment for our users to discover and attend events and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for this mission.
THE ROLE
You are passionate about the customer experience, empathetic to the data consumption and governance needs of internal teams, and adept at incorporating leading-edge privacy capabilities and processes. You are comfortable leveraging user behavior monitoring on our platform to identify and address potential gaps in privacy experiences as well as auditing and reporting on appropriate use, existence, and obfuscation of end user data. In this role, you will work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders including engineers, data scientists, legal, and compliance experts. The short term project you will do is critical in ensuring that our users have a streamlined opt-in, opt-out, and data management experience while ensuring that Eventbrite is fully compliant with all privacy-related regulations worldwide.
