Leadership Advisory Services Practice
The Leadership Advisory Services (LAS) Practice is an exciting, vibrant, and uniquely dynamic practice environment within Spencer Stuart. Emerging in recent years as a key area of strategic focus for the Firm, LAS has experienced an accelerated growth trajectory in both product diversification and scale. Our global LAS Practice today encompasses 180+ full time, dedicated Consultants, Senior Associates, Associates, Analysts, Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and Solution Leaders. In the past five years, the practice has consistently experienced double digit year-over-year topline revenue growth.
The Role
Spencer Stuart is building new businesses, experiences, and services for our clients globally. We are looking for a Product Manager to work with the product team; developing and managing products and solutions for Spencer Stuart’s advisory (non-search) businesses. The Product Manager is responsible for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather and prioritize product and customer requirements, define and iterate the product vision, and work closely with the right subject matter experts and contributors to deliver value to our clients. The success of this role is ultimately measured through value realization ($ cost/revenue) and client satisfaction, product uptake/acceleration across the firm, and the creation/adoption of re-usable best practices across the team.
Collaborating with and leveraging the combined experiences of our client-facing teams, in combination with our operations, technology, finance, and data teams, the Product Manager will be responsible for:
  • Prioritizing and structuring individual service line strategies for multiple service/product areas
  • Identifying client needs by analyzing market trends, competitors, client requirements, and feedback to generate ideas for products/services that clients will value
  • Translating client needs into services that we can offer independently or through the firm’s client-facing business development and/or service teams
  • Defining and prioritizing customer and product requirements, creating clear user archetypes and stories, creating content modules/wireframes/etc.
  • Engaging in early client sales and execution to learn from direct client interactions with our services or products as appropriate
  • Build the go-to-market strategies with the team:
    • Determining product launch strategies
    • Teaming with Learning & Development on training
    • Partnering with leadership across the business to rollout the products
  • Identify and escalate delivery barriers, dependencies, and risks; managing stakeholders to deliver the most value within given timelines and budgets
  • Project manage the development process from concept to launch, ensuring continued impact and tracking progress post-launch
  • Develop and deliver regular status updates to various levels of leadership

Ideal Experience & Qualifications
  • 4-8 years in Leadership development and/or core Product Management roles in a services business; preference for experience in professional services
  • Proficiency in approaches to customer research
  • Experience and ability to work with geographically dispersed and diverse teams will be a decided plus
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills paired with the ability to develop creative and efficient solutions
  • Ability to prioritize and lead workstreams while maintaining clear priorities and business outcomes
  • Effectively deal with ambiguity, complexity, and change
  • Excellent analytical skills to constantly analyze customer feedback and data
  • Experience and ability to work with geographically dispersed teams
  • Clear oral and written communication skills and ability present on complex analssyes and facilitate productive discussions
  • Must be goal-oriented, extremely organized, motivated, and have a desire to help others
Location: Stamford, Boston, DC, Philadelphia preferred – however we are open to placement in our other Spencer Stuart offices or remote work for the right individual.
