Product Support Representative - Sony Projectors & Displays

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Product Support Representative will provide technical product support to Sony's professional display customers and system integrators as a help desk resource. This role provides in-depth assistance and full range technical support regarding the setup and configuration of Sony displays and projectors primarily used within the professional business sector. This individual will be required to interface with the existing customer management system and address specific technical issues tracked via the system.

SCHEDULE:

  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm
  • This position will work on a hybrid basis - 3 days remote and 2 days at Sony's Corporate Office at 16535 Via Esprillo in San Diego

DUTIES:

  • Provide technical troubleshooting and high level support for the Product Operations Support Center
  • Respond to phone calls and email inquiries from integrators, installers, and customers
  • Provide end-user solutions and process technical escalations
  • Assist customers regarding the use and integration of professional displays, projectors, and other professional equipment

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school degree required
  • Minimum two (2) years of call center or phone-based customer service experience
  • Minimum two (2) years of technical support or electronic troubleshooting experience
  • Access to a quiet home office space with reliable high-speed internet connectivity
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical product related issues
  • Proficient with Microsoft office software suite
  • Comfortable learning various new software applications
  • Display/Monitor/Projector installation experience preferred
  • System knowledge of Control 4, Crestron, Savant, and/or any other professional control system preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
