Production Control Planner I
MAIN TASKS:
Production Control Plannermanages and facilitates work orders in the Subsea Services workshop for SDS. The maintenance, modification, and repair work orders coordinated by the Production Control Planner serve to prepare equipment for customer use according to operational requirements and priority.
The Production Control Planner develops tactical MMRS execution plans in support of forecasted and active Subsea Services projects.
Planners perform all service order management functions including, but not limited to, sub-order creation, workshop capacity evaluation, workshop dispatching and scheduling, service notification/quality notification initiation and completion, third-party service coordination, and some inventory analysis to ensure the project execution plan can be delivered according to customer requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
Houston Operating Procedures, Quality & Safety Training. Intermediate Materials Management/Planning Techniques and concepts. APICS classes working toward certification. Systems training (SAP and P6), Product training and Synchronous Flow Manufacturing Techniques. PC software including spreadsheet and word processing, print interpretation and negotiation skills training. May perform more advanced functions as part of training and development.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Office environment with frequent trips to the shop and to other offices in the plant. Some exposure to possible shop hazards including high noise, heavy machinery and shop traffic. Fast paced environment with repetitive transactions. Multiple priorities and constant change.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Frequent walking and standing in shop during final project stages. Frequent sitting and operating PC.
