Position Summary
Manufacturing is the very core of our business. The Production Operators within our factories have their hands in it all. You’ll train in several functional areas within the manufacturing environment so you can effectively provide support to our production teams. Since safety is a top priority at Purina, much of your responsibility will focus on ensuring that our equipment and machinery remain in top-notch condition. Your ability to acclimate and problem solve quickly will be critically important as unforeseen equipment issues may arise throughout the normal operation day. You’ll have the opportunity to see our operations through the different shifts, working with experts in each of the different areas within manufacturing.
**Candidates must be available to work all shifts.**
This role is within our packing department as a housekeeper. General duties are cleaning, santitizing, maintaining all work areas. Some other responsibilities could include:
- Must always work safely by following safety policies and procedures. Must attend safety team and plant-wide meetings, safety and functional training, and perform regular observations.
- Operation of Production equipment.
- Sample ingredients and/or in process product.
- Communicate with other operators, truckers, Team Leaders, and Quality Assurance and Food Safety personnel.
- Maintain proper sanitation levels.
- Operate a forklift.
- Cleaning, sanitizing, maintaining packing department
- Other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing, farming, industrial, or military environment.
