Department Overview

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for planning and coordinating the work activities of an hourly workforce to ensure daily production goals & efficiency are met.


Job Description

In this role you will:

  • Supervise production operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, 5S production standards and effective operations of equipment

  • Work with multiple departments to review, coordinate, and approve production schedules and departmental maintenance activities

  • Recommend alternative standard operational and working practices as necessary and monitors direct reports to ensure compliance with current standards

  • Take appropriate actions to correct employees’ performance and/or behavior

  • Provide production updates to the Management team

  • Coordinate shift activities with other production supervisors to increase continuity of operations

  • Participate and contribute to corrective action processes & KAIZEN

  • Create/complete Work Orders within the ERP and manufacturing systems

  • Interview and recommend candidates for employment; address and resolve personnel issues and concerns, through coaching, counselling and performance management in conjunction with the HR department and the Production Manager


Basic Requirements

Education and Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma or College Degree

  • 1-2 years of leadership experience in an Electronics Manufacturing required.
