Position Summary
Execute 5G NR/NSA/SA new feature IOT test plans, GCF test plans & VZW 5G NR LC test plans in carrier labs.
Role and Responsibilities
Execute 5G NR/NSA/SA new feature IOT test plans, GCF test plans & VZW 5G NR LC test plans in carrier labs. Analyze 5G NR/NSA/SA new features requirements and test specifications of NA carriers. Analyze the new features test case results, LTE/NR device modem logs to evaluate the feature functional, performance aspects. Execute 5G NR NSA/SA - RF/RRM/Protocol/ Supplementary RF test plans using test equipment’s carrier labs. Responsible for collecting device logs, TE logs and perform 1st level analysis of issues found during testing. Responsible for discussing issues with RAN vendors, Test Equipment vendors and debug device, RAN/TE network issues. Work with VZW SMEs to discuss on test configuration requirements, issues and test execution actions on daily basis. Communicate complex, technical information clearly and concisely. Take appropriate actions to identify and resolve technical issues to closure. Proactively look for areas to improve requirements and test plans. Send test status & issues summary reports to management.
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Education Required: Master’s degree in Electronic and Communication Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Systems technologies – Information Assurance, or a related field
Minimum Experience Required: three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in the telecommunication wireless testing
Alternate Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Electronic and Communication Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Systems Technologies – Information Assurance, or related field
Alternate Experience Required: Five (5) years of progressive, post baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation in the telecommunication wireless testing
Special Requirements: the three (3) years of experience with Master’s degree or the five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience with Bachelor’s degree must have included: 5G, NR, NSA, SA, and/or LTE air interface protocols; 5G, NR, and/or LTE log analysis using Qualcomm tools including QXDM, QCAT, MTK logging tools, and Shannon logging tools; North American wireless carriers 5G and/or LTE LC/IOT test plans execution; and 5G, NSA, and/or SA network architecture and RAN functionality.
