Program Assistant -Institutional Data Specialist
Eastern Illinois University is seeking candidates for a full-time Civil Service position in the Office of Planning, Budget, and Institutional Research for a Program Assistant specialized in Institutional Data.
This position gathers informational data from various university departments or from existing databases to generate reports. This position will analyze and compile institutional data for university reporting and submissions while using reasoning to interpret the data. Interpreting and verifying the data with attention to detail is critical for this position to prepare and report accurate and consistent data for university community, state, federal agencies, and other US entities. This position needs the ability to communicate effectively with members of university community and needs ability to maintain accurate and detailed records and documentation.
Qualified candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, preferably in Information systems, Business, Accounting, Mathematics or Statistics. Qualified candidates need to have experience with advanced working knowledge in Microsoft Excel.
The Civil Service examination for this classification is a credentials assessment. No participation other than submission of applicant materials is required from qualified applicants. Upon successful selection of a candidate, all scores will be voided from this register.
