What You'll Do:

AEC is seeking a Program Manager for our Salt Lake City facility which supports both government and commercial programs. The Program Manager will support a Sr Program Manager throughout all phases of programs from inception through completion with emphasis in communication with internal customers and functional organizations. The Program Manager will be responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Team leadership, ability to positively influence team members, continuous drive for results through challenging the team, and driving results by successfully managing safety, quality, schedule, people, and cost will be required.

The Program Manager will participate in the negotiation of contract and contract changes, coordination, and preparation of proposals/business plans; performance of Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications; and performance to operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. The Program Manager acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer and site leadership to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. PM will be responsible for establishing and managing milestones, monitoring adherence to master plans and schedules, identifying program risk/problems and obtaining solutions.

• Provide leadership and direction to the program team
• Manage the performance of program functions - contract, finance, engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations
• Identify and assess risk and opportunities with appropriate mitigating and capitalizing actions
• Ensure that the programs/projects are on schedule to the program milestones
• Manage budgets and update weekly, monthly, quarterly performance reviews
• Present status and overall financial and schedule performance to internal customers
• Forecast financial performance and staffing needs
• Support contract negotiations, endorse final price/contract terms and resolve contract issues
• Manage customer satisfaction

Our Ideal Candidates:

• 2-5 years of project, program, or related experience
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technical or Business field required. MS/MBA
• Experience managing government contracts
• Experience in budgeting, profit, and loss management
• Understanding of composite parts fabrication and knowledge of government contracting
• PMP or equivalent
• Lean Six Sigma green belt

Salary Range:

Starting at $110,000.
