Position Description

As a member of the Advanced Reconnaissance Vehicle (ARV) Program Management team this position is responsible for working with the Program Director for the successful execution of ARV Program Contract within the allotted budget and schedule across GDLS locations. Additional responsibilities include supporting management of contract, design changes, procurement, build, and delivery corrective action, and logistics efforts. This position will work closely with direct team members and various departments as well as other GDLS sites and is physically located in Sterling Heights Michigan.

Key Job Elements

  • Develop and foster a positive organizational environment to build a cohesive team across GDLS locations in the US and Canada.
  • Develop teammates to grow, prosper and progress in the enterprise.
  • Working with the Program Director, Process Center Leadership and other supporting organizations, to meet/exceed customer expectations.
  • Meet/exceed financial objectives assigned; lead and coordinate across program/process owners to meet enterprise financial goals and maximize operational efficiency.
  • Lead the Program, with decision making responsibility and authority, including, customer meetings, supplier and internal meetings as required.
  • Lead efforts to manage program risk through team reviews, while keeping Customer and GDLS leadership apprised of Program progress during program reviews.
  • Develop and implement program plans across the cross-functional GDLS locations and teams to include planning for a successful transition to production.
  • Develop new and improved business processes to improve efficiency.
  • Coordinate efforts of suppliers through Supply Chain Management to reduce risk and eliminate conflict with other programs.
  • Work with all designated Product Teams to ensure key interfaces are identified and that stakeholder interests are managed within scope, cost and schedule.
  • Disseminate communications to all stakeholders and keep management informed on program status.

Required Qualifications

  • University degree in Business Administration, Engineering or other related discipline. Other degrees/diplomas will be considered with relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams.
    • Program Management, Engineering Project Management, Integrated Project Team (IPT) leadership, or related understanding and experience.
  • Experience managing efforts and/or negotiating contracts with customer, teammates, and/or subcontractors.
  • Understanding and experience with Government contracts.
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to influence.
    • Ability to collaborate.
  • Must be able to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
  • Ability to travel (20% International) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Military Personnel.
