Program Supervisor - Santa Clara Connections Visitation Center

Overview:
The Program Supervisor of Santa Clara Connection Visitation Center is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the visitation program. The Program Supervisor is responsible for managing referrals, case management services, project planning, creation of protocols, and implementation of improved visitation services and Quality Assurance of the program. The Program Supervisor maintains excellent working relationships and coordinates closely with county social workers; Foster Parents and Relative Caregivers; Birth Parents; Foster Family Agencies who provide services to families enrolled in the visitation program.

About SCC Visitation Center
Seneca Family of Agencies Integrated Visitation Services Program is a service dedicated to providing comprehensive visitation services for families referred by Santa Clara County (Social Services Agency and Behavioral Health Services Department). The purpose of this service is to address the unmet visitation needs, utilize visitation as an opportunity to build parental capacity and strengthen family relationships, attunement, attachment opportunities to better achieve reunification, and permanency (family finding) outcomes. Seneca Visitation Services will include an array of services, all housed in one location and visitation/permanency team to allow continuum of care, collaboration and effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide regular supervision and oversight to visitation counselors, visitation coordinator and visitation clinicians
  • Oversee the intake and orientation process for each family, the procedures for visits prior to the initial visit and the preliminary treatment plan
  • Oversee and develop special events/projects that enhance the operations of the visitation center
  • Approve visitation notes when approver is unable
  • Develop and maintain a collaborative relationship with county and community partners
  • Maintain professional behavior at all times, appropriately representing the Seneca mission and philosophy
  • Oversee and provide case management; track and monitor the progress of families and individuals receiving services; collect and apply data to improve client outcomes
  • Lead the overall design, planning and development of action steps for an expanded family visitation program based on best practices in support of Family Reunification and maintaining family connections
  • Implement the action steps from the plan, including systems and protocols for scheduling and supervising visitation
  • Identify potential risks and create strategies to mitigate or manage them
  • Monitor progress of the implementation plan and communicate relevant information to Department Family and Children Services (DFCS).
Qualifications:

  • Master Level or Bachelor Level (3 years of related experience)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience and interest in working with children and families
  • Pass fingerprint clearance
  • Must be willing and able to work flexible hours. Including evening and weekends
  • Valid driver’s license
Schedule:
  • Full time
    • Monday - Friday
    • 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

  • $83,840 - $97,840 per year, actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualification
