Manages the high profile and extremely visible process for CPS Energy utility projects associated with governmental agency right of way improvements. Primary responsibilities include managing and coordinating construction activities associated with civic improvement utility projects which involves the coordination between right of way improvements, design consultants, contractors, CPS Energy construction and CPS Energy engineering resources along with other internal and external stakeholders. Managing the activities of these cross functional teams is necessary to assure CPS Energy utility projects and programs are delivered on schedule for these governmental right of way improvements. Other duties include managing streetlight projects and special distribution projects.
- Manages the construction process and coordination of field activities for CPS Energy utility relocations and upgrades associated with governmental agency civic improvement projects and new streetlight installation projects.
- Participates in field meetings to facilitate utility relocations associated with civic improvement projects.
- Coordinates construction activities with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensures that projects meet expectations regarding schedule, scope and quality
- Manages schedules, critical paths and variances to complete projects in a timely manner.
- Manages project risks including those related to compliance with CPS Energy policies and procedures while coordinating the work of various internal departments, external agencies, consultants and contractors.
- Meets with internal and external customers, state and local agencies, civic associations, business and community leaders, property owners.
- Reads and interprets construction plans to provide guidance for design and construction completion and facilitates actions to complete projects successfully.
- Performs analytical work such as schedule and resource projections.
- Provides timely notification and resolution of project changes and risks.
- Provides regular progress reports and project updates using maintained project data.
- Participates in utility coordination meetings with external agencies.
- Identifies and encourages safe working practices.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate team building with employees across various disciplines and at all levels, including ability to engage people in productive activities without formal authority.
Manage all phases of a project following established methodology with a considerable amount of autonomy
Previous working experience with responsibility to corporate initiatives, employee programs, corporate affairs, project management, or a related role.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and scheduling
Demonstrated ability and desire to help individuals and teams achieve increased competencies and effectiveness levels
Engineering, Design or Field Experience with Electric Distribution Projects
Ability to read and understand civil plan/profile drawings and electric distribution drawings.
Strong, effective interpersonal and communications skills to work effectively with many layers of internal and external stakeholders

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering or related field from an accredited university or relevant work experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.
Work is performed indoors & outdoors. Manual dexterity, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion. Use of computing equipment, telephone, & printer/copier. Ability to travel to and from business related events. After hours work may be required.
