Project Director
Success at School After School (SAS)
We believe afterschool programs are imperative to enriching the lives of children and keeping them from risky activities, perhaps especially poor children. The director of SAS help achieves these goals by managing toe programs at school-based, afterschool sites.
The director’s main responsibilities include:
Setting goals and establishing guidelines
Conducting ongoing research to determine and implement best practices
Developing and management programs
Developing and monitoring the budgets
Training and evaluating staff
Overseeing the collection of midyear and endo of year reports
Managing the operations
Building and maintaining healthy relationships with participating schools and community
Education and/or Experience
BA BS required
Ability to speak and write to diverse audiences
Must pass criminal background check and fingerprinting.
At least 1-3 years working with poor youth in a classroom, after school or recreation environment.
Excellent communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with staff, teachers, school officials, private sector leaders, parents/guardians and community leaders and service providers.
Excellent organizational and management skills.
Knowledge of developmental needs of elementary and middle school age children.
Ability to manage and supervise small and mid-size groups.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
