Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Obtains weekly status updates of ongoing projects to report out to management. (PMO methodology, phase planning, opportunities, and obstacles)
- Ensures service orders have been updated.
- Creates purchase requisitions for project materials and services.
- Ensures purchase requisitions have been converted to Purchase Orders and tracks delivery of Purchase Order.
- Attend status, engineering, project planning meetings and provides meeting of minutes when applicable.
- Prepare and assist in project documentation.
- Attains financial reports from SAP and help to monitor project costs.
- Gathers requirement of milestone dates and duration from PM, Engineering, and vendors to help integrate into the master schedule with one schedule.
- Assists in building overall PMO master schedule library and portfolio view of all projects.
- Ability to articulate an understanding of critical path, float and how to interpret that in scheduling software to report out to Project Managers.
- Helps define standard terminology for schedule and communication.
- Participates in creating logic ties and understanding of the activity and resource calendar, and logic ties at a high level to be able to communicate effectively to Project teams and schedulers.
- Supports identification of inefficiencies within current processes and templates.
- Maintains documentation and templates in SharePoint for PMO.
- Audits projects to ensure PMO methodology is being followed.
- Aids in training on new process roll outs.
- Assists in upholding skills and certification program for PMO.
- Tracks and maintains PMO initiatives and provides updates on status to leadership.
- Perform other such duties as may be required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Education
- Education and/or Experience: Student in (B.S.) Mechanical, Aerospace, Material Science, Computer Science Engineering or Business program from a college.
- Computer Skills: To perform this hob successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software, PowerPoint software and Word Processing software.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratios, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
