Tetra Tech’s WTR Division located in San Juan, PR is searching for a qualified Project Manager to join our team to help support the planning, engineering, disaster recovery and mitigation efforts in Puerto Rico. The Project Manager will coordinate and manage the planning, organization, and completion of complex projects and will interface with private clients, municipalities, local and federal agencies to address and resolve questions and issues.

Your Role

• Manage relationships with private clients, municipalities and local and federal agencies
• Manage projects and ensure standards of performance, quality and services meet Tetra Tech and client’s contractual requirements
• Maintain budgetary control of each phase of project and display a thorough understanding of project management/profitability
• Monitor status of assigned projects through obligation and completion and update data reporting system when necessary
• Ensure compliance with best management and engineering/environmental practices, regulations and codes
• Maintain communication throughout various stages to all parties involved.
• Coordinate and participate in resolution of project related issues and concerns.
• Optimize procedures and maintain communication and focus.
• Keep management team informed on issues, problems and resolutions.
• Superior customer service skill set, ability to listen, facilitate and negotiate problems.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills.
• Master’s degree in science, planning, environmental management or engineering preferred.
• Disaster recovery / mitigation management of federal funds experience required.
• 10-15 years of relevant experience.
• Prior experience with FEMA and working with municipalities preferred.
• Prior experience with CDBG-DR programs preferred.
• Strong client relationship management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bi-lingual English and Spanish.
• Valid Puerto Rico driver’s license and clean driving record.
