Project Manager

Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Project Manager on a 12 month contract to join our team in New York, New York in a hybrid work model. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and delivering IT projects in an Agile environment. Your expertise in utilizing collaborative tools such as Confluence, SharePoint, Excel, and Jira will be critical in ensuring the successful execution of projects. Responsibilities:

• Project Planning and Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, defining project objectives, scope, deliverables, and timelines. Utilize Agile methodologies to monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and ensure on-time delivery within budget.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor cross-functional project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture. Provide clear direction, support, and motivation to team members, ensuring they are equipped to achieve project goals.
• Stakeholder Management: Engage with key stakeholders, including clients, internal departments, and external vendors, to understand project requirements and expectations. Maintain regular and transparent communication to keep stakeholders informed of project status, risks, and updates.
• Risk Mitigation and Issue Resolution: Proactively identify project risks and develop effective mitigation strategies. Address and resolve issues as they arise, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and deliverables.
• Quality Assurance and Governance: Implement robust quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure project deliverables meet established quality standards and adhere to organizational policies and guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Project Management Experience: Minimum of 6 years of proven experience in successfully managing IT projects, with a focus on Agile methodologies and practices.
• Agile Environment Proficiency: Strong command of Agile principles and frameworks, with hands-on experience in managing Agile projects using Scrum or Kanban. Ability to adapt Agile practices to fit specific project requirements.
• Collaboration Tools: Proficiency in utilizing collaboration tools such as Confluence, SharePoint, Excel, and Jira to facilitate project planning, documentation, and communication.
• Leadership and Team Management: Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of effectively leading and motivating cross-functional project teams. Ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
• Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities. Demonstrated experience in presenting complex information to diverse audiences and building positive relationships with stakeholders.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $60.00 - $80.00 per hour
