THE ROLE:
The Product Stewardship PM will lead the implementation of product stewardship goals in the Corporate Engineering function. The Project Manager will work across all levels of the organization to implement product stewardship initiatives as part of the Product Compliance and Certification team. This role will focus on implementing the corporate product stewardship road map projects; ESG reporting (ex. Dow Jones Sustainability Index); and support vocational truck (ICE and BEV) certification.
YOUR IMPACT:
  • Plan and direct project activities supporting the Emissions & Product Stewardship road map. This will include on-going updates to the roadmap scope and content.
  • Create and maintain project documentation for product stewardship initiatives. This will include planning, requirements and best practice analysis, risk management, issues/task management, status reporting, project communication, and quality assurance and training.
  • Lead the cross segment Global Product Development Product Stewardship Team to support product stewardship initiatives at all business segments.
  • Collect data used for investor ESG ratings (ex. Dow Jones Sustainability Index) and annual company Sustainability Report. Review data and make recommendations for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Evaluate requirements for EV certification for heavy-duty on-highway trucks in US markets, support testing and data collection.
  • Establish tracking and reporting program for ZEV sales.
  • Provide secondary support for OBD certification (ICE programs) as needed.
  • Maintain expert level knowledge of materials/chemical content regulations and restrictions appliable to the full Oshkosh product range. Share requirement summaries for REACH, RoHS, and TSCA compliance with affected business segments.
  • Create development procedures and project requirement checklists related to the corporate product development process.
  • This role will support Oshkosh business units/business segment efforts to produce products that meet all applicable legal and regulatory requirements and will serve as a subject matter expert for compliance regulations and standards.
  • Tracking applicable laws and regulations, anticipating emerging product compliance trends in the United States, Europe, and other global markets.
YOUR EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE:
  • BS degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related field related field.
  • Excellent verbal presentation and written communication skills.
  • Four (4) or more years of related work experience.

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Able to influence others and build collaboration in team setting.
  • Strong technical knowledge of vehicles and related systems.
