The successful candidate will perform the duties as a System/Commissioning Engineer for the power uprate for Salem Units 1 and 2. The engineer is responsible for sponsoring and implementing power uprate modifications.Job Responsibilities• Qualify for and fulfill the LRE role for the power uprate plant modifications and be accountable for the design “cradle to grave”.• Establish modification scope, system performance requirements, and all testing requirements.• Perform Owners Acceptance Reviews for design analysis, modification packages, procurement, and specifications in accordance with plant procedures.• Manage technical supplier teams with respect cost, schedule, and quality.• Schedule and coordinate Engineering and station department resources to deliver and install required design change packages.• Interface with Project Manager to ensure that Engineering deliverables meet the overall project goals.• Provide field support during modification walkdowns, installation, testing and as-built verification.• Comply with regulatory requirements including 50.59, License Amendment Request preparation and any required supporting analysis.• Perform other assigned duties as determined by the Engineering Manager.• Assigned duties in the Emergency Response OrganizationJob Specific QualificationsRequired:• BS Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Controls or related Engineering or related technical degree with 5 years of experience performing related Engineering work in a nuclear power plant or related industry.• Minimum 1 year of experience in mechanical system engineering• Availability for shift work during installation.• Must meet Nuclear requirements for unescorted plant access.• Must possess a valid US driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.Desired:• Power uprate experience at a pressurized water reactor (PWR)• Prior Design Engineering configuration control qualification• Professional Engineering license (NJ or other state)DisclaimerCertain positions at the Company may require you to have access to Part 810-Controlled Information.
