The Public Attendant I is responsible for the upkeep of the property in order to enhance and maintain its curb appeal. In addition, the Public Attendant assists the rest of the staff, as directed, in their efforts to maintain the highest level of cleanliness throughout the property.

What Will You Do?
- Reports and/or initiates action to correct unsafe conditions or damage to apartment and hotel property.
- Performs pressure washing, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and polishing of common areas surfaces.
- Removes trash from common area waste bins and trash rooms and delivers to appropriate receptacles and replaces bin liners when necessary.
- Wipes down and sanitizes gym and fitness equipment on regularly scheduled intervals.
- Patrols the common area bathrooms, amenity space, and lounge areas to ensure that the routine cleanliness schedule is being completed.
- Maintains awareness of proper safety precautions
- Ensures that storage areas always remain locked when not in use
- Safeguards all utility meter cut-offs, apartment and fixture cut-offs, and drain cleanouts
- Keeps dumpster/compactor doors closed and ensures waste disposed in correct recycle or waste disposal bin
- Distributes resident communications to residents: e.g., upcoming events, pest control notices, and newsletters
- Conducts all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, state and federal laws: e.g., OSHA, ADA, Fair Housing, etc.
- Reports any maintenance concerns to the maintenance in a timely manner for repair.
- Monitors maintains and cleans all interior and exterior common areas such as bathrooms, kitchens, walkways, hallways, amenity spaces, parking garage, elevators, and sidewalks.
- Monitors dog run and pet waste stations, empties and cleans bins and replenishes pet waste bags.
- Restocks and supplies common area amenities such as refrigerators and gym towels.
- Safely operates trash compactors, cardboard baler, and hauling vehicles related to trash program.
- Moves trash and recycling bins in and out for scheduled pickups
- Responsible for cleaning and assisting in proactive and reactive cleaning of the property.
- Follows safety guidelines to ensure that property is maintained and cleaned properly.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma/GED
- Customer service, housekeeping, or janitorial experience preferred
- Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
