QA Automation Engineer

The QA Automation Engineer is responsible for working on all aspects of our software development projects supporting existing applications and creating new and innovative software. The QA Automation Engineer is responsible to work hands on closely with the QA Manager and Product teams to create and execute fully automated regression suites, performance scripts and manual tests towards successful application deployments. The QA Automation Engineer will work with all product teams and Automation Engineers t o provide clear, transparent communication on testing and automation coverage.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The QA Automation Engineer is responsible for working on all aspects of our software development projects supporting existing applications and creating new and innovative software. The QA Automation Engineer is responsible to work hands on closely with the QA Manager and Product teams to create and execute fully automated regression suites, performance scripts and manual tests towards successful application deployments. The QA Automation Engineer will work with all product teams and Automation Engineers to provide clear, transparent communication on testing and automation coverage.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Technical:

• Work collaboratively within high-performance scrum teams to ensure the delivery of business / functional requirements
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and sprint reviews using agile best practices
• Analyze testing needs and develop testing strategy and plans
• Create new automation suites, maintaining and executing automation scripts in the test automation framework for our apps
• Maintain and refactor automated scripts in the test automation framework
• Develop and execute test suites for each testing phase
• Responsible for defect tracking and maintaining accurate status
• Analyze automated test coverage and identify areas where coverage could be improved
• Review pull requests to ensure every test meets our code quality standards
• Keep up to date on automation best practices and new technologies.
• Suggest improvements to Bally's Interactive QA Automation and Performance processes, tools and technology where improvement would benefit short or long term plans

Requirements

• Bachelor's or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience
• 5+ years of QA experience
• 3+ years of automation experience (Cypress, Kafka, Selenium, TestProject, Appium)
• 1+ years of performance testing experience (JMeter, BlazeMeter, RedLine)
• 3+ years of API testing experience
• 3+ years of Database testing experience
• 3+ year of Web testing experience
• 1+ years of mobile testing experience of native, web and hybrid applications
• 3+ years of Java or JavaScript experience
• 3+ years of Linux experience
• 3+ years of Git/Gitlab/GitHub experience
• 3+ years of Jira and Confluence experience
• 1+ years of testing experience with Kubernetes, Kubectl, Lens
