QA Engineer

FUNCTION: IBHQ - DQO

REPORTING: SVP Self Service Applications

LOCATION: Atlanta, GA

ROLE PURPOSE

Assures consistent quality of software solutions by developing and executing detailed test plans.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create tests to identify software problems
  • Analyse bugs and errors found during tests
  • Document results of tests for the software development team
  • Recommend improvements in software to enhance user experience
  • Motivate the development process for efficiency and performance
  • Works together with the software developer to enhance and improve programs
  • Train other members on the software solution of associated groups or customers if needed
  • Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends and advancements

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

BS CS/CE/EE or equivalent qualification

5+ years’ experience as a QA Engineer

Experience:

  • Any experience involving testing of self-service kiosks / ATMs
  • Extensive experience in testing
  • High proficiency in computer technology
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows
  • Demonstrated history of a passion for quality

§ May supervise staff as necessary to complete assignments.
§ Reviews and provides critical input to project scope, budgets; schedules assignments.
§ Prepares proposals for professional services and seeks funding for engineering projects/programmes.
