With our start ups, we build out their business, product, culture and processes, often making their first key technical hires and building out their internal teams in partnership with our own. We mostly work on greenfield builds, using cutting edge technology to build excellent products.

About the role

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer / Tester / Lead to work on end-to-end testing of entire features and functionality for mobile and web apps. You'll be responsible for defining standards, checking whether the product conforms to them and suggesting areas for improvement.

Our QA process happens simultaneously with the app coding process, so communication and collaboration is key.

We’re looking for someone with an interest in test automation, who keeps up to date with the latest technology and who will help us improve our QA processes across all our products.

As a QA Engineer you will:

• Create detailed manual and automated test cases
• Execute Functional, Regression, and Smoke testing
• Identify and thoroughly track bugs
• Be familiar with SCRUM/Agile test environment procedures and processes
• Utilise tools such as Lighthouse to identify key areas of performance improvements
• Have a keen eye for difference between browsers (Firefox, Safari, Edge, Chrome)
• Create Gherkin/Cucumber tests
• Understand BDD (Behaviour Driven Development)

Experience you'll need:

• Experience with Selenium/Appium
  
• Experience with WebDriver.IO (Strongly recommended)
• Experience with BrowserStack
• Experience and a keen interest in test automation and keeps up to date with the latest technology
• Experience with Mobile App testing

Hex has a Farringdon based office, where everyone has a spacious desk embedded within your high-performing team with storage for you to use. We also have several spaces for collaboration, such as meeting rooms and sofas. The office is provided as a benefit to help facilitate socialising and collaboration, but there is no mandate for its use. While most of us are based out of London, our team is fully remote and we are accommodating of this.

Salary

£35-45k depending on skills and experience.
