DescriptionPOSITION DESCRIPTION:The Director of Product Management will lead the development of both hardware and software solutions for the Community Scale, Commercial and Industrial segment. The ideal candidate has more than ten years of Product Management experience, working in the renewable and/or energy storage industry. The candidate should have a strong track record of working with solar/ storage inverters, BESS (Battery energy storage systems), controllers and (EMS) Energy management system to lead complete solutions development. Experience managing product managers, high financial acumen with excellent communication skills is desired. This position will report to the Head of Products & Services or anyone that the Senior Vice President/President of the Company may designate. This position will be based in San Francisco, CA office (or remote), and travel up to 15% may be required.RESPONSIBILITIES• Lead the development of Qcells Energy Storage hardware platform in the Community Scale,• Commercial and Industrial segment – Focused on both Behind the Meter and Front of Meter Market• Lead the development of Qcells Geli EMS software for both Behind the Meter and Front of Meter applications• Engage with customers to develop new product ideas in line to market needs• Own go to market strategy, product pricing and pricing strategy for all hardware & software products• Drive the execution on product development with Engineering and external partners• Work with marketing team to create marketing content such as case studies, brochures, external presentations• Own relationships with partners for both hardware and software offeringsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Power Electronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.• A Master‘s in the above disciplines is preferred• Minimum of ten (10) years of product management experience with at least five (5) years in the Energy storage• Deep understanding of the fundamentals of electricity markets and financial models• Familiar with energy policies, energy storage incentives and state programs, and electricity tariff structures• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• A passion for the energy industry and willingness to learn and adapt in this rapidly growing industryHanwha Q CELLS America Inc.
