Senior Demand Planner

The Sr. Demand Planner is responsible forestablishing and managing sales strategies, goals, and performance while driving operations and business through selling PV modules and systems in the commercial segment. This position reports to the Head of C&IPlanning & Operations or another member of senior management that the President of the Company may designate. This position will be based out of our Irvine office, with an in-office schedule that is set at the direct manager’s discretion in accordance with the company policies and procedures. Remote options could be considered for exceptional cases. 


Responsibilities
  • Assist in capitalizing on Hanwha Q CELLS America’s existing solar business to identify and manage research and analysis of PV market trends and customers including the competitive landscape.  
  • Participate in setting and managing business goals for the US market sales and KPI.  
  • Monitor and supervise overall sales performance and in-depth data analysis while managing sales and operations data including revenue forecast (weekly, monthly, and quarterly revenue forecasts.) 
  • Develop hypotheses, perform data analysis to back them up, and support management decisions with internal and external research and analysis.  
  • Support communications with Hanwha Q CELLS headquarters, sales entities in Canada, Korea, Germany, Japan, and others, and manufacturing facilities in the US (GA), Korea, Malaysia, and China.  
  • Assist with strategic planning for market expansion and area development in conjunction with the Marketing Department.  
  • Partner with the Sales and/or Business Development teams to expand the business area for new commercial channels.  
  • All other duties as assigned by the Head of C&I Planning & Operations or upper management.   


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field.  
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with proven records in strategic analysis or related roles.  
  • Bilingual in Korean is a must.  
  • Advanced level of computer skills – Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.)  
  • Strong, professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively in meetings, calls, presentations, and emails.  
  • Data analysis-related experience preferred.  
  • Ability to identify and develop key strategic partnerships.  
  • Must be comfortable interfacing outside the company, including executive presentations, negotiations, and contractual reviews.  
  • Must be self-motivated, creative, and possess strategic planning skills with a high degree of professionalism and conduct.  
  • Willingness to travel at least 20% of the time.
