About Your Role 

We are seeking a confident leader who will use their knowledge of Instructional Design and training development to assist the Head of Customer Education in building a world class Customer Education Program from the ground up. The ideal candidate has experience developing and managing technical, immersive, software-based learning experiences for external customers using proprietary software. This role will involve a balance between designing and developing learning experiences, and also managing various projects for Customer Education, including those by third-parties. Additionally, this person will be the standard-bearer for what good training looks like within our organization. This role is customer-facing and will have a direct impact on QGenda users' proficiency with all QGenda software products.

How You’ll Make an Impact 

  • Manage various projects related to analyzing, developing, and deploying training materials and tools needed to build a new Customer Education program. 
  • Oversee third-party contractors and vendors involved in training projects to define project scope, costs, timelines, and deliverables, and ensure quality standards are met and projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Continuously assess, update, and improve training programs to ensure they align with business goals and meet the evolving needs of our customers.
  • Develop role-based, technical training curricula to meet the needs of healthcare staff in hospitals, clinics, and all departments.
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand upcoming releases and changes to the software.
  • Design and develop training materials to prepare external customers for new features or updates.
  • Ensure training materials are updated and delivered to users in a timely manner to coincide with the 2-week product development release cycle.
  • Create innovative assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of instructional materials based on Bloom’s Taxonomy and other common evaluation techniques.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Instructional Design best practices and emerging trends in training and development.
  • Work directly with QGenda customers to understand from their perspective “what’s working and what’s not” with their training. 
  • Design, implement, and deploy role-based software certifications for external customers.

Who You Are 

  • Demonstrated experience building a variety of learning experiences and programs from needs analysis through launch in all formats (onsite, virtual, online).
  • Uses research results to make data-driven decisions and drive improvements.
  • Excellent collaboration with very technical subject matter experts.
  • Proficiency using knowledge base platforms (Knowledge Owl, Salesforce Communities).
  • Proficiency using learning management systems.
  • Manages projects effectively and efficiently to meet deadlines

Experience You Bring 

  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in instructional design for customer training, preferably in a technology or software company.
  • Proficiency using training development software and tools (e.g. Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Experience using Docebo LMS is preferred.
