Our Life Sciences Division provides expert services in cellular and molecular pharmacology, dedicated to supporting the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry with innovative research methods and bioanalysis. In addition to product evaluation and development services, we are committed to research into alternatives to animal experimentation and offer the industry a wide range of in vitro solutions to accelerate the global transition to cruelty-free practices in cosmetics and medicine.
 

Job Description

As the Business Development Manager for our Pharmaceutical Division, you will play a pivotal role in driving the divisional revenue growth through the development and execution of strategic sales initiatives.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies that align with the division's overall objectives, fostering a culture of success, and establishing strong relationships with key clients.

You will be directly reporting to the Life Sciences Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive, develop and execute comprehensive Pharma sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and divisional objectives in the North American market.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
  • Define sales practices, objectives by sector, customer, and lead sales KPIs (visits, closing ratio, accepted quotes average basket, ..) , processes and systems to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product/service offerings based on market feedback.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
  • Ensure highest levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Work closely with the divisional management team to align sales strategies, best practices and cross-selling with overall business objectives
  • Optimize the use of Zoho CRM
  • Explore and adopt AI tools to improve our activities
  • Maintain a personal relationship with the top 5 clients key decision makers

 

Qualifications

In order to succeed in this role, you have:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field, business, finance, engineering or related field from an accredited university, advanced degree preferred.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience
  • Proven experience as a successful sales leader in a similar capacity.
  • Strong understanding of the Life Sciences TIC market and trends.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
  • Results-driven with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global matrixed environment with competing priorities.

  • Growth of existing key-accounts and open news doors on our Key clients
  • Revenue Growth & Sales performance
  • Retain 100% of the key-accounts as active customers every year
  • Cross-selling metrics (revenue generated by clients using the services of more than 1 BU)
  • Profitability
  • Product Initiatives
