The Software Engineer Role

As a Software Engineer on our Qlik AutoML team, you will play a vital role in building innovative machine learning products that empower users to extract valuable insights without needing a background in data science. You'll be part of a team responsible for the entire lifecycle of our distributed services—from development and testing to release and maintenance. Your contributions will directly shape the future of our automated machine learning solutions, while collaborating with diverse, cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features that integrate seamlessly across the Qlik platform.

In this role, you'll make a significant impact by:

• Building and enhancing web applications and services that are crucial to our AutoML product’s success.
• Ensuring the robustness and scalability of our services, so they can handle growing user demands.
• Bridging the gap between data science and development, making sophisticated analytics accessible to all.
• Contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment where knowledge sharing and mentorship help everyone succeed.

We’re looking for a teammate with:

• 2+ years of experience in delivering enterprise software or cloud SaaS solutions.
• Proficiency in Go and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• A solid understanding of software testing practices, Test Driven Development, databases, and event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present ideas respectfully and work well within a team.
• A willingness to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies, tools, and methodologies.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $100,000 USD to $120,000 USD per year. Final compensation offered by Qlik will be based on factors such as the candidate’s location, job-related skills, education, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Qlik offers a comprehensive benefits package.
