Lead React Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead frontend development efforts using React, ensuring high-quality code and efficient delivery.

• Collaborate with backend developers, UX designers and quality engineers in a cross-functional team environment.

• Drive the adoption of new React features, tools and best practices to enhance the development process and user experience.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship on all React-related matters, staying current with the latest React updates and trends.

• Participate in development processes such as pair programming and Test-Driven Development (TDD) to improve code quality and delivery times.

• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize frontend performance, scalability, and usability.

• Work closely with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, and UX team to translate business needs into technical solutions.

• Promote teamwork, ensuring that the team focuses on shared goals and outcomes.

Skills Required

• BE/BTech/MTech (CS/IT or MCA), with emphasis on Software Engineering, is highly preferable

• 6+ years of software development experience, with at least 4 years dedicated to working exclusively with React.

• Experience in frontend performance optimization and scaling React applications.

• Strong expertise in React with experience building complex, scalable frontend applications.

• Proven experience working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and an obsession with creating efficient, intuitive, and visually appealing UI components.

• Demonstrated understanding and practice of modern frontend development processes, including pair programming, TDD, and Agile methodologies.

• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and lead junior developers on best practices in React and frontend development.

• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team and collaborate with backend developers, UX designers, and product managers.

• Passion for learning, with an interest in staying updated with the latest React developments and a willingness to introduce new technologies to the team.

• Excellent communication skills and an interest in understanding the business impact of the product.
