We are a rapidly growing industrial automation and systems integration company looking for a skilled Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary teams in the design, development, and construction of custom-engineered automation equipment. This role is integral in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget, while maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction.
Position Summary:
The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of factory automation systems and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. A strong work ethic, critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication and organizational skills are key to success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:- Serve as the main point of contact for customers, ensuring clear and effective communication between clients and internal project teams.
- Set project schedules, assign responsibilities, and monitor budgets to ensure projects are completed on time and within financial constraints.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to oversee progress, address technical issues, and implement customer-requested changes.
- Manage the design, construction, and testing phases of automation equipment to meet client specifications.
- Ensure alignment of project scope with customer needs while mitigating scope creep.
- Work closely with procurement to assess and manage supply chain impacts on project timelines.
- Foster strong customer relationships, reinforcing the company’s reputation as a customer-focused organization.
Qualifications & Skills:- Proven experience managing projects ranging from $50,000 to $5 million.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and processes.
- Strong financial acumen in managing project budgets and forecasts.
- Background in industrial automation; experience in robotics or automation machinery design is highly beneficial.
- Fundamental knowledge of engineering principles; a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred, but not required.
- Understanding of automation components (e.g., bearings, gearboxes, servos, pneumatic actuators) and industrial control systems (e.g., sensors, motors, PLCs, HMIs).
- Knowledge of robotics systems and suppliers is a plus.
Preferred Certifications:- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is highly desirable.
