This position primarily involves a hybrid work schedule - working remotely: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday / on site: Wednesday.
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance professional to be part of the Portal Testing team within the Group Membership Association Department (GMAD).
Executes testing assignments and may provide oversight to the testing team, ensuring the team effectively delivers quality software.-
Works with various team members to optimize testing, enhance efficiency in testing and improve software quality for Portal related releases.

Tester is responsible for assisting Testing Lead with all end-to-end testing activities.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitates testing related development activities, guiding testers, and clarifying requirements with the appropriate team members.-
Strong analytical ability to review Business Requirements and assist with developing test conditions.

Tracks key testing metrics and ensures regular and consistent communication of progress towards overall testing goals to the Testing manager.

Ensures that assigned test team members work together effectively and that the testing function is properly integrated across various systems.

Evaluate defects and attend meeting to discuss testing issues.

Insure team readiness for upcoming test iterations.

Follow test activities schedule and meet deadlines for each test iteration.

Identify risks and mitigation steps.

Executes tests to compare results with requirements, verifies test requirements, readiness, and identifies defects.

Close partnership with developers to ensure proper identification of defect.

Supports Testing Manager to establish project baseline (schedule).
Education / Training
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences/Engineering or equivalent education and related software testing training and experience in the financial services industry.
Previous Experience
Experience in the insurance industry a plus.-
Analysis of Business Requirements to develop Test Case Scenarios/Scripts.

Experience working with on and off-shore resources a plus.
Required Skills / Knowledge
Possesses knowledge and experience in testing in distributed and web-based environments.-
At least 3 years’ hands on experience in software quality assurance.

Proven ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into the technical/functional requirements and test scenarios, ability to identify functional dependencies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Advanced knowledge of common software testing procedures and methodologies.

Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Knowledge of Insurance Products a plus.

Collaborative but decisive personal style - highly effective communicator and problem solver.

Demonstrates skills in establishing and executing end to end testing in Agile Methodology.

Strong system integration testing and/or interface testing experience.

Some exposure to testing automation.

Proficiency in testing tools/software, HTML, JAVA, Cucumber, Selenium, JIRA and TestRail.

Knowledge of API Testing.

Knowledge and experience on infrastructure changes is a big plus.
