Quality Assurance Engineer, Cloud Services

Tarana Wireless is looking for a QA Engineer for our cloud management suite to accelerate the development of our state-of-the-art wireless broadband service products. You will work closely with the development team, solutions engineering, and DevOps to ensure our product well serves our customers’ needs. You will be designing and developing test plans for the cloud services that manage our network devices, executing tests, and automating the test cases using Python scripts.

Job Responsibilities:

• Understand the Tarana Cloud Suite architecture and gain expertise in the features being developed
• Understand customer scenarios, prepare detailed test plans, automate the test cases, and execute the automated/manual test cases
• Own, extend, and execute regression test cases
• Dive deeply to analyze test results and identify any issues
• Identify defects and own them through the resolution and verification cycle
• Design, develop and enhance the existing automation framework.
• Conduct effective code reviews on automation framework and scripts.
• Contribute to development of tools that enhance test efficiency
• Ensure effective communication of project and testing status to all stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s/Master's degree in computer science or closely related disciplines
• 4+ years of QA automation experience using Python
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Design methodology
• Exposure on microservices-based SaaS products deployed on cloud platforms
• Experience in working with REST API is a must
• Experience on working in Linux environment
• Good understanding of QA processes and Agile methodologies
• Solid understanding of network protocols and topologies is a strong plus
• Knowledge on Kafka with ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana) stack is a plus
• Excellent debugging/analytical skills with a focus on solving problems
• Experience with Jira and Confluence
• Organized and self-directed: able to execute under high level direction with minimal oversight
