We are looking for a Quality Systems Specialist to join our team. The goal of a Quality Systems Specialist at Wisk is to ensure that Quality support services are integrated within production and quality systems. You will be part of the Enterprise Safety & Quality team that ensures compliance performing verification, inspection and acceptance testing for our next generation aircraft.

Why we need you:

    • With that vision in mind, we are looking for a Quality Systems Specialist to join our Enterprise Safety & Quality team. The goal of the Quality Systems Specialist at Wisk is to build and enhance cross-functional relationships with manufacturing, engineering and supply chain teams performing verification, inspection and acceptance testing to build the first fully autonomous all-electric aircraft that performs and operates safely in an urban air-mobility environment. In support of this goal, you will be part of the Enterprise Safety & Quality team that continuously strives to design and build quality into everything we do. Your goal is to make sure that Quality support services are executed, maintained and supported. Your mission is to execute first pass quality in support of safe aircraft operation and delivery
    • The successful candidate is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining quality control systems activities. Assists development and implementation of standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of products. Ensures finished products conform to engineering design and manufacturing build requirements. In this role, the candidate must be a champion for quality and continuous improvement. Additionally, candidates must be forward thinking and self-motivated to achieve program goals.

What you will do:

    • As part of the Enterprise Safety & Quality organization, and deployed in a you will act as a Quality Systems Specialist for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market
    • You will take part in Enterprise Safety & Quality program and production teams being a key contributor to product acceptance and inspection.
    • You will support the next generation program working with organizational stakeholders to implement quality objectives achieving first pass quality.
    • You will help support problem solving activities across the value streams leveraging root cause and corrective action best practices.
    • You will help coordinate routine verification and inspection activities. Document nonconformance records and corrective action investigations
    • You will take part as a problem solver and collaborator to champion quality and continuous improvement
    • In some areas, you will be working closely with Program IPTs, engineering, manufacturing and supply chain to resolve product conformance issues
    • You will plan and execute quality objectives to ensure compliance and conformance to aircraft design and build requirements.
    • As a Quality Systems Specialist, you will help define the Wisk Next Generation aircraft and the future of urban air mobility.

What you have done:

    • At least 5 years of hands-on aerospace experience in aircraft manufacturing and quality supporting aircraft systems installation and/or structures assembly.
    • Experience working with integrated avionics systems, electrical systems, battery management systems, propulsion systems or fly-by-wire systems.
    • You have worked on various commercial, defense or space aircraft performing systems functional and operational checkout testing.
    • You have hands-on experience working in production or maintenance performing critical tests, inspections and systems troubleshooting
    • You have a strong and applied knowledge of complex technical aircraft systems, structures assembly and composites manufacturing
    • You have a strong and applied understanding applicable systems, processes, metrics etc
    • You have lead and supported teams whom achieved effective quality and continuous improvement projects

Desired:

    • Bachelor degree in relevant technical field
    • Valid A&P license or repairman certificate
    • 5-10 years of aerospace experience Quality, Manufacturing, Systems Test and/or Maintenance
    • Systems test, software and firmware experience a plus

Compensation and Benefits:

Job Type: Full-time
Pay Range the Company expects to pay: $70,680 - $108,003 per year - The starting base salary within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographical location, and your relevant job-related experience that is consistent with a business necessity.

We are located in Mountain View just a couple of hundred feet from Shoreline Lake and its surrounding walking/jogging trails.
