Here's what you need to know about the role, our team and why Flatiron Health is the right next step in your career.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll work with the Post-delivery team to ensure an industry-leading customer experience with Flatiron data products, a core pillar for Flatiron’s retention strategy. You'll serve as an internal and external thought leader regarding both best practices for analytic methodologies using Flatiron data, and data usability more broadly. In addition, you will:

  • Co-lead a post-delivery team. To this end:
  • Set, update and champion the vision for an industry-leading customer experience with Flatiron data products.
  • Develop and/or validate methodology approaches in consultation with Flatiron subject matter experts. Own or consult on planning (e.g., SAP development) and execution.
  • Develop technical resources for internal and external data users to drive adoption of FH methodology best practices.
  • Evolve engagement model with internal teams.
  • Coach / mentor contributors to team assets and R packages.
  • Have primary accountability for determining what R functions and/or packages are critical to develop to enable Flatiron methodological best practices, and facilitate development and review of new methods-focused R package functionality and updates to existing functionality.
  • Serve as an important voice of customer data usability needs. To this end:
  • Serve as a primary internal point-of-contact with knowledge of all available Flatiron methodology guidance and supporting evidence, able to connect people to what they need or represent the topic personally.
  • Serve as internal expert on approaches to effectively conveying methodologic best practices, internally and externally.
  • Drive a strong understanding of customer investigation and guidance needs. Identify gaps and opportunities to develop best practices/guidance to enable current customer use cases for Flatiron data products.
  • Coach collaborators in development of statistical analysis plans and research leading to new or evolved customer guidance
  • Cross train other Flatiron teams on statistical/methodological approaches to post-delivery training (i.e., train the trainers)
  • Lead discussions about best practices with FH and client subject matter experts

Candidates can expect to collaborate significantly with clinicians and scientists across Flatiron’s product lines to maximize the usability of Flatiron data.

Who You Are

You're an analytical thinker who is passionate about helping Flatiron clients maximize the value of our data. You're excited by the prospect of rolling up your sleeves to tackle meaningful problems each and every day. You’re a kind and collaborative problem-solver who seeks and gives candid feedback, and values the chance to make an important impact.

  • You hold a Master’s degree with 4 years of industry experience or PhD (or equivalent) in a quantitative discipline such as biostatistics, epidemiology, applied statistics, health economics, or a related discipline
  • You possess a strong empathy for data user challenges and desire to be in frequent conversation with life sciences/biopharma and academic researchers
  • You are excited about designing effective technical documentation to teach data users in a scalable manner
  • You love working with data and have experience exploring it with a critical and thoughtful eye
  • You are proficient in R/Python (or another programming language) and are committed to becoming an expert in R
  • You are an effective communicator, both oral and written
  • You are self-motivated, flexible, proactive and enjoy coming up with elegant and innovative solutions to challenging problems
  • You know how to balance attention to detail with execution against tight timelines
  • You are passionate about our mission to improve healthcare through technology

If this sounds like you, you'll fit right in at Flatiron.
