Instrumentation & Controls Design Engineer

Rawafid is seeking a dynamic and experienced Instrumentation & Controls Design Engineer to join our engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of instrumentation and control systems for our construction projects. Your understanding of complex systems and your ability to develop innovative solutions will be critical to ensuring that projects are completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, translating client requirements into technical specifications, and producing detailed design documentation. Responsibilities

• Design and develop instrumentation and control systems for various industrial applications in alignment with project specifications.
• Prepare detailed design documents including diagrams, specifications, and data sheets for instruments and control systems.
• Conduct system analysis and performance evaluations to ensure compliance with operational requirements and safety standards.
• Collaborate with project engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure integration of instrumentation systems with overall project designs.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of instruments and control systems, ensuring proper functionality and compliance.
• Stay current with technological advancements in instrumentation and controls, applying best practices to optimize system performance.
• Provide training and support to technical personnel regarding the operation and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems or I&C Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Certified by the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE), Project Management Professional (PMP), and/ or Certified Construction Manager (CCM).
• Min. 5 years of experience in instrumentation and controls design for industrial settings.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, and MATLAB, Plant3D, AutoCAD Electrical.
• Strong understanding of control systems, PLC programming, SCADA systems, and DCS applications.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (ISA, NFPA, IEC, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail in all aspects of work.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong organizational skills with a capability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
