We are seeking an Associate Director, Global Government Relations - Defense Lobbyist to lead a focused federal government relations lobbying portfolio for all three RTX businesses (Collins, Pratt & Whitney, and Raytheon). By joining RTX, you will be part of an organization that values innovation, collaboration, and the pursuit of excellence.Skills• Strong knowledge of defense legislative processes• Proficiency in U.S. military concepts, programs, and terminology• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills• Experience working with Members of Congress and their staff• Ability to operate independently across a highly-matrixed organizationResponsibilities• Lead government relations efforts to support service programs across all RTX businesses• Develop and execute a strategy to achieve RTX legislative priorities• Advise senior leaders on federal legislative matters• Build relationships with key U.S. government officials• Enhance RTX’s presence in Washington, DC• Provide guidance on budgetary and legislative matters• Represent RTX interests on Capitol HillQualifications• University Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 12 years relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with a minimum of 10 years’ experience• Previous experience working on Capitol Hill, particularly with defense appropriations and authorization Acts• U.S. Citizenship status required for active security clearanceEducation Requirements• University Degree in a related fieldEducation Requirements Credential Category• Degree in Political Science, Government Relations, or a related discipline preferred.Experience Requirements• Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in government relations or related fields• Proven track record working with defense-related legislation and funding mechanismsWhy work in Arlington, VAArlington, VA, is known for its vibrant community, proximity to Washington, DC, and a strong local economy.
