Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?As a Junior Designer, you will create graphic designs, using a variety of techniques and software, for both print and electronic communications (e.g. promotions, advertisements, and instructional materials) distributed through a variety of media outlets.At RBC Wealth Management, your career progression matters to us. We offer training, development and learning resources so you continue to grow your career in a way that matters to you.What will you do?• Develops and delivers graphic design work and visual materials utilizing specific graphic design, web development, and animation/sound processing tools.• Interprets customers' design needs into feasible graphic design ideas and information; provides recommendations in the graphic design process.• Participates in the collection of customer needs for graphic design work and gives suggestions to senior management on the implementation of strategic plans for graphic design.• Researches and shares social media resources and information to facilitate the graphic design process within a team; stays abreast on technological advances within the field.• Collaborate with marketing partners to determine vision, strategy and requirements for visual elements.• Conceptualize and execute designs from start to finish for marketing deliverables outside of brand templates, such as events or specific campaigns.• Serve as design expert for the Seismic platform, supporting Creative Team knowledge and skill.What do you need to succeed?Must-have• Bachelor's degree in graphic design and/or 3+ years’ experience working as a graphic designer.• Excellent working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Office programs.• Excellent typography and aesthetic skills with the ability to combine various colors, fonts and layouts.• Excellent skills in animation design, motion graphics and video editing.Nice-to-have• Experience in the financial industry.• A background working within a well-established brand platform.• Experience working in Adobe Workfront.• Proven experience with graphic design, with a strong portfolio of work.What’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
