Receptionist

Builders FirstSource is the nation’s largest supplier of structural building products to the professional market for new residential construction and repair and remodeling. Purpose
Acts as initial contact to facility either by telephone or in person. Operates multi-line telephone system to answer incoming calls and directs callers to appropriate personnel by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department.
  • Takes and delivers messages or transfers calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable.
  • Answers questions about organization and provides callers with address, directions, and other information.
  • Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel. Monitors visitor access and issues passes when required.
  • Arranges scheduling of facility’s conference and meeting rooms. Receives, sorts, and routes mail, and maintains and routes publications.
  • Maintains fax machines, assists users, sends faxes, and retrieves and routes incoming faxes. Orders, receives, and maintains office supplies.
  • Performs other clerical duties and special projects as needed, such as filing, photocopying, and collating.
  • Other duties as required.
Supervisor Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Minimum experience required: one to three months clerical experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Work is in an office setting and generally sedentary with physical effort associated with using a computer, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently.
In addition to the base wage listed, team members are also eligible to earn an additional incentive subject to changes in plan design and documents and in accordance with applicable law. Eligibility and the amount of the incentive varies based on the terms and conditions of the locations’ active incentive plan for the respective year.
