Security Engineer, Threat Detection
Reddit is seeking a Security Engineer, Threat Detection to join the SPACE Security Intelligence Center. The ideal candidate is a strong coder with expertise in threat detection, incident response, and security controls automation. You will play a critical role in building and enhancing detections to ensure Reddit's security and privacy mission.
Skills
- Strong coding skills in Go/Python/shell scripts
- Experience with Splunk/SQL/BigQuery/Sigma
- Hands-on experience in threat detections and incident response
- Familiarity with cloud tools like Terraform, Ansible
- Knowledge of MacOS, Windows, Linux, & Cloud infrastructure management
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and implement detections
- Build and enhance processes for automating security controls and monitoring at scale
- Lead incident response activities and join the on-call rotation
- Support security initiatives and provide recommendations for insider threat programs
