Under general supervision performs a variety of processing duties within the

Electronic Services Department. This is an entry level position that supports the ES team with semi routine item and payment processing, accounting and clerical functions. 


As an Electronic Service Specialist you will be responsible for various of tasks;
  • Member Service:
  • Provides superior Member service that meets RCU service standards and values to Members and employees of Redwood Credit Union.
  • Provides general support processing for check and ACH processing.
  • Deposit collection return processing.
  • Responsible for Branches capture balancing and file transmission.
  • Process adjustments to accounts and loans.
  • Process FRB adjustments and collections.
  • Check image review, corrections, and file creation.
  • Coordinates and balances exceptions payrolls.
  • Monitors the OPA system. Coordinates with vendor to resolve system issues.
  • Processes bills pay requests and foreign collections.
  • Research and resolve Members' problems and complaints.
  • Makes sounds judgments to prevent losses to the credit union.
  • Provides problem resolution and direction to other departments and branches regarding member inquires, concerns and issues.
  • Post, balance, and maintain daily work with proper documentation.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Scan Electronic Services forms and documents for long-term retention.
  • Process Electronic Services mail and supply orders.
  • Maintain and destroy branch capture checks for RCU.

  • Department and Branch Support: 
  • Supports and answers the Electronic Services phone que.
  • Represent RCU in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
  • Analyze processes and recommend changes for efficiency and service.
  • Assist with projects.

  • Non-Essential Functions: 
  • Cross train in ES areas to provide phone support to Members and Branches. Assist as back-up during vacation or illness when needed. Provide updates and makes recommendation to improve processes and the Member experience. Train branches and staff as needed in Electronic Services processes and procedures. Responsible for creating and maintaining procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, reach overhead, twist and turn.
  • Ability to lift from 15 to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator.
  • Work environment is indoors; majority of the time is spent sitting at a desk.

  • Education/Experience
  • A combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma. One year experience in customer service, accounting or closely related field with knowledge of Branch or back-offices functions is preferred. Experience at a financial institution is required.

Compensation: Base salary range: $24.00 to $30.00 per hour commensurate with experience. Our base salary starting range is based on scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and internal peer equity. RCU employees are eligible for a .75% discount off RCU standard collateral auto loans

- RCU employees are eligible for a 1% discount on all recreational or boat loan products

- 0% interest loan to support employees with various immigration related expenses such as visa application fees and relocation costs. Loan amount up to $1,000.

- 0% interest loan to support employees with expenses associated with the naturalization process. Loan amount up to $15,000.

- 0% interest on garment, fitness, or home office equipment loan of up to $500

- 100% financing for employee purchased homes!
