Job Purpose

The Talent Acquisition Manager plays a vital role in attracting and acquiring top talent for our organization. The TA Manager is responsible for initiating and executing innovative global Talent Resourcing strategies, focusing on crucial aspects such as employer branding, employee value proposition, and onboarding for our North American region. Additionally, actively contribute to the development of global policies and programs, leveraging their local expertise and legal insights. Through efforts in standardizing and centralizing the local recruitment process, the TA Manager aims to enhance efficiency and effectively reduce costs. The Talent Acquisition Manager collaborates closely with our esteemed Center of Excellence, gaining valuable perspectives and support for our strategic initiatives. They also engage with various business units, ensuring the acquisition of exceptional talent and nurturing future capabilities. Leading the North American TA team, they bring their exceptional management skills to drive success in talent acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops a regional recruitment strategy (including social media) aligned with business needs and Global Center of Excellence policies. Set channel and segment strategy for businesses in North America. Understand internal and external talent channels and be able to manage both.
  • Manage a team of recruiters to ensure delivery of business hiring objectives, including monitoring of workload to ensure qualify performance within assigned policies, procedures, systems and processes.
  • Work with key HR and business leaders to develop and understand workforce plans for areas supported.
  • Ensure the development of comprehensive networks and pipelines of talent within designated niches or functional specialties.
  • Structure external labor market intelligence, such as market trends in support of workforce planning and sourcing. Partner with local HR to support workforce planning & setting strategic external pipelining priorities.
  • Contribute to the design and development of global initiatives, providing input based on local needs, knowledge and best practices.
  • Proactively support the AkzoNobel Diversity and Inclusion ambitions and ensures that local recruitment practices are reflective and incorporate in these improvement targets.
  • Ensure local processes are legally compliant and manages associated reporting requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in leading social media recruiting, strategy and metrics
  • 6 years of relevant work experience in HR, and at least 4 years in a Recruitment Management role (preferable in-house)
  • Proven experience of managing and delivering HR projects
  • Proven people management experience
  • Experience in working with e-recruitment and applicant tracking systems.
  • Experience in building, managing and engaging talent pipelines
  • Proven track record in identifying, selecting and commercially negotiating with external partners.

Rewards & Benefits

Base salary range for this role is: $105,000 to $115,000. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
