About You

As a person, you’re a balanced thinker, a motivated fixer – someone who is always taking initiative to solve problems, make things better and respectfully engage others along the journey with you. As a Reliability Technician, you have a strong technical track record, work best under pressure and deliver high value to your team by owning issues through resolution, exercising strong situational judgment and favoring a proactive vs. reactive approach to equipment maintenance.   • Are 18 years or older and are authorized to work in the United States

  • Have an Associates degree in Industrial Maintenance and 3 years’ experience in an Industrial environment as a Maintenance Technician OR high school diploma and 5 years’ experience in an industrial environment as a Maintenance Technician required OR equivalent Military education/training.

  • Can read and write basic English

  • Have basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office)

  • Are able to work schedule of 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime

  • Have good problem solving and decision-making skills

  • Are able to handle multiple priorities

  • Are a solid team player interested in helping others

  • Are a motivated self-starter

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assume Reliability ownership of all assigned Asset areas
  • Provide technical support to all Teams (Operations, Engineering, Reliability, and other departments as needed)
  • Perform other Reliability tasks as assigned

Technical Requirements

The Successful candidate will Possess technical skills in as many of the following areas as possible:

Millwright Abilities:

  • Able to safely operate shop equipment such as a drill press, metal shear, and saws
  • Vibration Analysis, Ultrasonic Testing, Laser Alignment, Mechanical Thermography
  • Balancing Fans & Rolls
  • Component fabrication and assembly
  • Mechanical repairs and rebuild of all types
  • Millwright abilities (rigging, installing, removing, and alignment of equipment)
  • General metal and pipe welding (stick, tig, mig, soldering, and brazing)
  • Metal cutting (torch and plasma cutter)
  • General technical knowledge of electrical systems

Machinist Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to machine to close tolerances .0005 inch or better
  • Use a variety of machinist's hand tools, precision hand tools and measuring instruments used for setting up and operating automatic and manual machine shop equipment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of machine parts and applications for a wide variety of materials and sizes using blueprint drawings, CAD models, and pre-written programs and manual lathes, mills, and other equipment
  • Works from complex drawing and instructions to facilitate the manufacturing of parts and assemblies

General & Mechanical Abilities:

  • Understanding of manufacturing and processing systems.
  • Familiar with hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and rotating equipment.
  • Experience with unit operations and processing for solids and liquid operations along with support utility infrastructure.
  • Experience with equipment rebuilds and refurbishments – various types of pumps, actuated valves, linear actuators, conveyors, hydraulic/pneumatic actuators, fans, material processing equipment.

with a starting wage of $38.44 per hour depending on experience (with premium rates on Sundays) and the opportunity to progress up to $41.87 in 18 months with successful skill demonstration.
