Remote • Part Time/ Contract (10 hours/week)

About the role

As a part-time PR & Communications consultant, you will be responsible for developing and executing impactful PR strategies to promote Remo’s brand, services and initiatives. We’re looking for a creative thinker with a fierce commitment to execution and getting projects over the line. This role requires deep experience and proficiency with press strategy and outreach, pitch development, and thought leadership. The ideal candidate is an expert storyteller with a strong background in healthcare public relations and a proven track record of securing media coverage. We’re looking for someone who is motivated to work for an impact-driven company on a mission to provide accessible, high quality dementia care to families everywhere. 

What you’ll do

  • Develop and cultivate national and regional media relationships. Lead our KOL mapping activities to reach industry and community influencers. 

  • Strategize, craft, and implement comprehensive press strategies that enhance Remo’s brand visibility for B2C and B2B customers. 

  • Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts in the healthcare sector. Proactively reach out to journalists, editors, and influencers to secure media coverage and ensure our brand is top of mind.

  • Develop compelling pitches and press releases that effectively communicate key messages that resonate with Remo’s target audiences.

  • Collaborate with VP of Marketing and other internal stakeholders to identify and develop thought leadership opportunities, including speaking engagements, article placements, and interviews.

  • Monitor media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities for PR activities and report on the effectiveness of PR campaigns.

  • Provide strategic guidance and support building our engagement plan around industry events, conferences, and webinars.

You may be a good fit if you

  • Have at least 8+ years of experience working in PR & Communications, plus 3+ years working in either healthcare or tech 

  • Have a knack for crafting compelling stories, finding and articulating the ‘why it matters’ that cuts through the noise and resonates with target audiences 

  • Are comfortable with ambiguity and iterating quickly — you’re unafraid to take the first pass at something to move things forward

  • Have extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) – you know how to effectively communicate with all types of people and organizations 

  • Have your own engine. You see what needs to be done and raise your hand, versus needing to be told what to do and how to do it 

  • Are equal parts creative and strategic, with a deep understanding of what really matters to people and a clear sense of what it takes to make sure Remo’s messages resonate with the intended audiences 

You’re the ideal candidate if you 

  • Have experience working in healthcare, technology, and/or startup spaces 

  • Have an existing network of healthcare/ healthtech media contacts
