Overview:
POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Assume responsibility for the receipt and proper distribution of incoming mail for our Torrance
Operations Facility and associated properties. Also assist the Express Shipping Coordinator during
payment processing week and assist in fulfillment of other projects as they relate to the Mail Services
Operation.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

Process daily mail drops, which includes the following: sorting, routing, and distributing of all incoming and outgoing mail pieces to all departments (HP1, HP3, LA Live, LADC, and HIM).

Log package details for all parcel deliveries (FedEx, TNT, DHL, UPS, and others) into the Arrival Tracking System, and delivery of packages to destination.

Process all outgoing mail pieces using a Pitney Bowes DM1000 mail processer.

Ensure that all hand deliveries are expeditiously and properly delivered.

For Torrance MS only - ensure that a call is made to the LA Live/HP3 Mail Center’s alerting them of any hand deliveries that are being sent on any of the 3 courier runs either facility.

Coordinate off-site storage request for various departments.

Arrange and coordinate courier /messenger orders daily for all departments.

Process daily express packages using the express shipping computers.

Assist with restocking copier rooms with various copier paper sizes.

Ensure work area is well maintained and organized.

Interface with international and domestic courier representatives, as well as internal customers

Be available for extended hours to process payments to our distributors and special fulfillment’s as necessary. This will require but is not limited to 1-2 hours, two to three times per month and 2-3 Saturdays 4-6 hours each, annually.

6 months Mail Services experience.
Education:

High school diploma or GED-equivalent.
