Role Profile
A senior member of the global marketing and communications team and member of the Services Executive Leadership Team, the role holder is responsible for the design, development and delivery of an integrated marketing and communications strategy and plan for RES Services.
Including:
- Build awareness and understanding of our Services Brand in the market through the design and delivery of our Global Services Communications and Marketing programme, effectively positioning RES as the industry’s leading independent service provider in renewables.
- Working closely with the Support Services CEO to deliver the integration programme for Services, including the cultural change programme to One RES.
- Supports the CEOs internal and external communications, engagement and positioning including monthly communications, town halls, videos, ask me anything sessions and in external positioning in key industry events, forums, industry bodies, government affairs and social media.
- Supports the design and delivering of a compelling Go to Market strategy for the services business, including product, technology and proposition led brand strategy design and campaign execution.
- Creates compelling sales, integrated multi-channel marketing, and promotional campaigns and materials to improve our standing, gain share of voice, market share and drive growth. Working closely alongside business development and client delivery teams
- Conduct regular industry, market, and competitor research to inform strategic planning.
- Delivers a compelling internal communications and employee engagement programme for the effective integration of the three legacy renewable services business, into one new global services business unit, supporting retention and driving recruitment.
- Authors the Executive and Senior leader editorial plans – including defined key messages and activity for effectively position our leaders as experts in their fields, in industry media, in speaking engagements, social media content and campaigns and internal communications where required.
- Creates the business unit wide media relations strategy and plan and manage through implementation.
- Create the event strategy for the business, identifying the most applicable to attend, speak, sponsor. Developing comprehensive event proposals, clear KPIs (key performance indicators) and managing through to delivery. Including potential internal conferences/leadership workshops, etc.
- Works alongside the CMLT, including the digital business unit marcomms team to weave our digital solutions product portfolio into our service solution.
- Channel and resource management including driving ROI from spend across events, online and social channels and media.

Key Responsibilities
- Designs and delivers the Services Marketing Communications Strategy and Plan, in support of the business plan and objectives.
- Supports the design and delivery of Thought Leadership and Content led marketing campaigns to help drive market share and revenue growth.
- Support the evolution of our digitisation strategy including product development and design, creating compelling marketing campaigns in support of the ‘Go to Market’ Strategy
- Designs and delivers internal and external communications strategy and plan, and all employee engagement programmes.
- Creates and delivers the Services media and public relations strategy and plan.
- Designs and deploys the Services public, corporate and government affairs strategy, and plan.
- Manages all relevant marketing communications channels and assets to best effect, including online and social media channels.
- Continually innovates in channel delivery, ensuring innovative and impactful campaigns that cut through the noise and effectively position RES, and our leaders as experts in their field.
- Ensures alignment and consistency with the brand strategy, style, and Tone of Voice
- Leads in the development of on and offline campaigns and materials to reach defined target audiences.
- Provide direction and leadership to the any Services marcomms team, delivering the content led editorial calendar to ensure maximum return on investment.
- Responsible for maintaining and the upkeep of collateral on the various internal/external platforms e.g., website and social.
- Maintain and monitor budgets including trade association budgets – ensuring maximum ROI from investment.
- Facilitate and coordinates participation and engagement at tradeshows, conferences, and other client related events to enhance and increase awareness of company solutions.
- Responsible for tracking and evaluating communication and marketing led activities – across all channels.
Role Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- University degree or equivalent in marketing, communications, business, or related field.
Job-Specific Experience:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a communication and/or marketing role, preferably within a digital / technical, energy, environment, or consulting industry but not critical. Associated experience in agency, journalism, copy writing deemed equivalent.
- Demonstrable experience in all aspects of marketing / corporate communications.
- Experience of senior level corporate and government affairs Strong working relationships with the media, trade, National and Broadcast
Knowledge of:
- Marketing / Communication methods and channels relevant to a large, complex organization.

- M&A – integration and merger activity
- Product Development and Design
- Go to Market Strategy Development & Design and working alongside business development teams to achieve success, including campaign tracking and measurement.

- Fluent English and Spanish, other language would be a plus.

Tactics to be deployed include campaign and content development, segmentation and targeting, campaign planning and close out reporting, internal communications and engagement programmes, asset creation including global research and thought leadership content, indices, research reports, web and online assets, videos, speaking engagements, client entertaining and events, corporate communications, media and public relations, government affairs, online and social media management.
