Overview:
The Research Assistant will support in-depth research, well-organized and documented projects and polished final reports working within the Research and Strategic Initiatives group. They will support the members of the team with administrative duties.
This position is part of the global Product Innovation department at SAGE, working in a dynamic part of the business to significantly increase SAGE’s online product portfolio for our library customers.
The person in this role is expected to work in the DC office at least once a month.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
- Organize project documentation using Outlook, Teams, including status reports and updates on high-profile projects with many stakeholders

With support, carry out research tasks related to surveys, data analysis, and interviews including creating graphs and summary reports

Carry out web research into customers, competitors and targets for potential acquisition

Support market research projects by scheduling, taking notes and potentially carrying out interviews

Manage payment of incentives to participants in market research projects

Take provided information and create accessible, well-formated reports and presentations for internal and external audiences, iterating based on feedback

Support market research documentation, owning the ongoing intranet space for market research and archive of completed projects

Manage scheduling, set up and note taking for internal and external meetings, ensuring consistent and timely agendas and notes

Coordinate logistics for special in-office events such as all day summit meetings, including rooms reservations, attendees and catering

Support Strategic Initiatives team members with travel arrangements, travel expense reporting, and other administrative tasks
Qualifications & Education:
- 1 year relevant experience required

Working knowledge of publishing industry beneficial

Experience working with the library and academic market beneficial

Ability to effectively interface with customers, both internally and externally

Proven skills in organization, time management, and efficient execution of tasks

Strong written and verbal communication skills required

Proficency with Microsoft Office, including creating presentations

Successful track record of team- and relationship-buildling required

Professional, enthusiastic demeanor and positive outlook necessary

Compensation at SAGE is influenced by several factors, including but not limited to skill set, nature and level of experience, qualifications, and other relevant considerations. We anticipate the minimum full-time salary range for this position to be between $41,400 - $47,600. Please note that the compensation details listed in U.S. role postings reflect the base salary only and do not include bonuses or benefits.
