Job Description:
This senior-level technical leadership position is focused on being a Client and Vendor liaison to ensure Client satisfaction with the product(s) they’ve purchased. The Resident Consultant will have technical and business process knowledge necessary to guide regional Clients through the analysis, design, implementation and integration of one or more products. The Resident Consultant knows and applies the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a particular field, and has mastered the key responsibilities. Assignments can be broad in nature and the Resident Consultant may serve as a resource to others to resolve complex problems and issues. In addition, the Consultant will be responsible for ongoing mentoring within the consulting team and must be an available resource for peer support. This Senior Consultant will be a technical architect in Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and/or Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) technologies. The work location will be remote or at a client facility with possible travel onsite. The successful candidate will be part of a team of Information Protection Consultants that provide assessment, design and implementation services as well as operational residency services for any of Broadcom Security Software’s customers.
Key Responsibilities
Assess, design and transform customer DLP and CASB environments following Broadcom project methodology
Assess, and optimize DLP/CASB policy and perform system stabilization and performance improvements on customer DLP/CASB infrastructure or design
Lead the Assessment of a client's Technical Requirements and Business Objectives to effectively implement product solutions that adhere to Services Best Practices
Troubleshoot Technical and Business Process issues, including root-cause analysis
Assist with scoping new DLP and CASB service opportunities
Provide guidance, recommendations, best practices, etc. for DLP and CASB operations
Perform customer knowledge transfer on technical operation of DLP and CASB policy and workflow creation / maintenance
Assist with DLP or CASB component upgrades, installs, testing and configuration
Liaise with Product Support, Engineering, Product Management on behalf of the customer
Provide primary point of contact and hands-on remediation for critical issues during engagements
Proactively communicate relevant technical information and alerts on known issues, hot fixes, new releases, etc.
Provide knowledge of 3rd party integrations and perform as required
Be able to work in large scale global environments effectively
Provide regular status reports and other required project documentation artifacts
Communicate professionally and effectively at all organizational levels
Keep the Account Team informed of major issues or new opportunities
Assist in the development and maintenance of Information Protection project methodology
Act as a Trusted Advisor to both Client and Company
Provide Client and Consulting Team Leadership
Interact with Technical Support to Open, Track and Resolve Product issues
Work closely with Product Management and Product Engineering learn new feature/functions
Assist with ongoing maintenance and improvement of methodologies and document templates
Pursue, Achieve, and Maintain technical education and certifications
Meet target billable utilization objectives as assigned for this role
Adhere to all company policies, including Time and Expense Policy, Code of Conduct/Ethics and Training

Logistics and Physical Demands
Business travel of up to 50 percent or more yearly is possible for this position, but candidate must be able to successfully function with 100 percent remote work as needed to meet company and Client requirements.

Education, Training & Certifications
Bachelor’s Degree (or global equivalent) in Computer Science or Business-Related Field – required
Prior experience with Symantec and Data Protection technologies – preferred
Advanced college coursework in Computer Science, Information Security or equivalent experience – preferred
Certifications for hardware, operating system or specific technologies are preferred, including those from the following organizations:
(ISC)2: CISSP
ISACA: CISA / CISM
GIAC: GSEC / GCED / GCCC / GDAT
Cloud: Amazon, Microsoft, Google
Work Experience
Typically, eight (8) or more years of IT-related work experience is required for this position, with 5+ years of experience administering, supporting or consulting on DLP or CASB in an enterprise customer environment. Must have experience across Systems Engineering (Windows and UNIX), Databases (MS SQL Server, Oracle) and Operations, exposure to a variety of organizational sizes, and general knowledge of the roles and objectives of IT Audit, Compliance and Security.
Skills and Competencies
Expert knowledge of the DLP Suite and/or Cloud Application data protection suites
Strong knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol suite and related security concerns
Strong knowledge of modern endpoint Operation Systems, routers, web proxies (SYMC/BlueCoat), network protocols, and security architecture
Strong infrastructure knowledge, e.g. interactions between filers and windows file clusters, SMTP routing, network traffic routing, web proxies, Active Directory
Working knowledge with compliance and regulation standards such as SOX, PCI, HIPAA
Working knowledge of privacy concepts and regulatory requirements domestically and globally, e.g. GDPR, Canadian Privacy Act, CCPA
Working knowledge of common attacks and vulnerabilities
Working knowledge of SharePoint and other document repository technologies
Working knowledge of network, endpoint, and email encryption technologies
Working knowledge of Oracle or similar database platforms
Working knowledge of Information Risk Management principles
Strong understanding of data governance including protection, classification and disposition strategies
Demonstrate ability to engage in hands-on implementation of software technology
Proficient at Written, Verbal and Presentation Skills across all organizational levels (local language / English)
Possess strong technology troubleshooting skills

Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is $106,800 - $178,000
This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
