CLA is currently seeking a Revenue Cycle Assistant (casual status) as a remote employee. The Revenue Cycle Assistant is an integral team member of our Healthcare Revenue Cycle Support Team that is responsible for serving CLA clients with technical assistance across billing office operations to include claims processing, payment posting, charge capture, billing, follow-up, and strong knowledge of federal and managed care payment requirements. The below functions reflect the general details of the essential work activities and accountabilities of this position and are not all inclusive. Other activities may be assigned.
How you'll create opportunities in this role:
Claims Coordination: The Revenue Cycle Assistant follows up on denied or unpaid claims, via payor online portals and/or phone calls. Research payor guidelines & regulations, for appropriate resolution to denied claims, and/or to assist in appeal documentation. They analyze and review insurance claims, draft and submit medical appeals, correcting and re-submitting claims to third party payers.
Accounts Receivable: The Revenue Cycle Assistant assists in identifying rejection & denial trends, for client internal staff to be trained on appropriate accounts receivable processes. They provide charge capture, payment posting, coding as needed, daily reconciliation, etc. They communicate with CRLs, CLA consulting team members, client billing managers and/or client team members to resolve revenue cycle and/or credentialing issues. They identify and correct billing errors, resubmitting claims to insurance carriers. They review remittance advice for payment errors, denials, and under payments.
What you'll need for this role:
• 5 years minimum experience in Healthcare Accounts Receivable duties
  • High school degree or equivalent.
Compensation Strategy

Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the range. These same factors may cause starting pay to be below or above the posted range.
For California the posted range for this role is: $27 - $37 hourly
For Colorado the posted range for this role is: $25 - $34 hourly
For New York the posted range for this role is: $29 - $40 hourly
For Washington the posted range for this role is: $26-36 hourly
