Revenue Management Analyst US

We have an opening for a Revenue Management Analyst. This person will work as an analytical ace, an Excel expert, who thrives in data mining. The Revenue Management team works with our retail locations across the US, Canada, and the UK to deliver strategic and tactical pricing. They work with many departments to ensure we are competitive in the self-storage market.

Duties and Responsibilities

Works with the Director of Revenue Management as well as the leadership of Operations and Marketing and their teams in a collaborative environment.

Provides input and performs testing and quality assurance on the evolving design and implementation of revenue management processes and systems, interacting with the IT team, company executives and external consultants as necessary.

Provides analytic support to drive strategic pricing and discounting programs.

Uses the revenue management tools and the business intelligence tools to perform weekly reviews of pricing across the company to recommend changes. This person will play the lead role in analysis of tactical pricing and highlighting of priorities for the company in this area.

Develops general communications and relationships with the field staff (e.g. Store Managers and Regional Managers) as well as formalized processes to gather key local input on pricing actions and impact.

Performs ad-hoc analysis to provide strategic direction to senior staff.

Creates and communicates new metrics and reports to distill key decision-making data down to a usable format.

Reads, analyzes, and interprets interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents and presents information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Responds to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

Uses spreadsheet software, internet software, database software, and reservation manager software at an expert level to interpret and present data.

Education:

Minimum Bachelor's degree (B.A./B S.) in Business or related degrees such as Mathematics, Operations Research or Statistics from four-year college or university. A combination of education and experience may be accepted.

Experience:

A total of 4 years of relevant experience preferred.
Strong analytical and data driven decision making skills
Highly motivated team player with collaborative mentality
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to independently create, validate, present and implement ideas
Ability to manage large data sets, synthesize key findings and communicate them
Advanced level use of Microsoft office applications, especially Excel
Experience with business intelligence and visualization tools a strong plus
SQL programming skills are a plus
